Bech-Bruun has assisted Skjern Paper, a Danish make-to-order manufacturer of specialized recycled paper, on the divestment to the international global packaging solutions leader Sonoco.

Founded in 1965, Skjern Paper A/S is a Danish make-to-order manufacturer of specialized recycled paper used for composite cans (food), cores for toilet paper, and greyboard among other things. In the last 10 years, Skjern Paper A/S has invested heavily in becoming the most sustainable manufacturer of recycled paper – a strategy that has given Skjern Paper A/S a strong competitive edge, especially in recent years, as more and more products are shifting from steel or plastic towards recycled paper as the input material.

Sonoco is an international global packaging solutions leader, based in The United States, and is a provider of diversified consumer packaging, industrial products, protective packaging, and packaging supply chain services.

Closing is subject to customary closing conditions. 

Bech-Bruun’s team, headed by Morten Bruun-Larsen and Jonas Lyngesen, has assisted the owners of Skjern Paper A/S on the divestment to Sonoco.
