Bech-Bruun assists Tokyo Gas in its joint venture investment within renewable energy
Bech-Bruun has advised the Japanese energy giant Tokyo Gas in connection with its joint venture investment focusing on renewable energy.
Towii Renewables is the name of the new joint venture company that combines the forces and expertise of Japanese energy giant Tokyo Gas and the Danish energy group Ewii. The two joint-venture partners intend to focus their investments on solar and wind projects in Denmark and the Nordics. The objective is to invest in renewable energy projects in Denmark and the Nordics with an aggregate capacity up to 1 GW before 2030.
Bech-Bruun has advised Tokyo Gas which is listed on the Japanese stock exchange. Tokyo Gas focuses on producing and distributing electricity and gas and has strengthened its business within renewable energy in recent years.
The transaction is subject to FDI-approval and is expected to complete during the spring of 2022.
The Bech-Bruun team was headed by Jens Chr. Hesse Rasmussen and Caroline-Regitze Elstrøm.
We congratulate both parties on the cooperation.
