Dan Bjerg Geary specialises in technical IP law and complex contracts. He has extensive experience with enforcement in infringement cases.
With great insight and strategic flair he represents Danish and non-Danish enterprises in connection with, among other things, the negotiation and conclusion of licence agreements and other intellectual property law agreements concerning patents and technology.
Dan has worked with renewable energy, particularly in the wind industry, both offshore and onshore as well as Power-to-X (p-t-x) for more than 15 years.
He has in-depth knowledge of complex contracts in Denmark and abroad, including FIDIC.
Dan is one of Denmark's top franchise lawyers and a member of the executive committee of the association Franchise Danmark. He has worked systematically with franchising and distribution for more than a decade and renders advice to several of the leading franchise chains in Denmark.
Dan also has extensive experience with the protection of trade secrets, know-how and internal compliance, and he also provides advice on marketing and gaming law.
Dan's high professionalism and international knowledge of intellectual property law issues is further consolidated by him holding an LLM in intellectual property law from the WIPO Academy at Universitá degli Studio di Torino in Italy.
Previously, Dan was a lecturer at Aarhus University, and he regularly teaches courses on, among other things, intellectual property law issues and contracts targeted at the industrial sector and the legal profession.
