Esben Korsgaard Poulsen specialises in construction law and renders advice to public and private employers, contractors and other stakeholders in the construction industry on all construction law aspects. In particular, Esben predominantly specialises in cases pertaining to the professional liability of technical advisers and delays in construction.

As part of his work, Esben handles a considerable number of large related cases regarding multiple major building and construction projects in Denmark, and thus he has gained extensive litigation experience handling arbitration and legal proceedings, expert inspections and surveys and swift decisions as well as decisions on the provision of security.

Further, on an ongoing basis, Esben handles disputes on construction insurance, including issues of insurance cover under all risk and project liability insurance.

Esben teaches property law and construction law and was previously an assistant lecturer at Aalborg University. Esben was in 2022 appointed acting judge at the High Court of Western Denmark.
