Altor divests Ferrosan Medical Devices
In the past year, Bech-Bruun represented the seller, Altor Fund III, in connection with the latter's divestment of Ferrosan Medical Devices (FMD).
FMD is a world-leading manufacturer of gelatine-based hemostatic products used for stopping bleeding during operations. Ferrosan has its headquarters in Søborg, Denmark, and additional facilities in Poland.
Several potential buyers have come forward at various points in the process, but the successful bidder is a consortium consisting of private investors headed by Hans-Christian Bødker Jensen - all of whom have backgrounds in Altor and great knowledge of FMD - as well as Danica Pension and Pensam.
The parties managed to sign the agreement on 22 June 2016, and Closing took place on 30 June 2016.
