Bech-Bruun assists in billion-kroner transaction
On 13 May 2015, Teradyne, Inc. acquired Danish robotics company Universal Robots A/S at a price just under DKK 2bn. Bech-Bruun assisted Teradyne, Inc. in acquiring all shares in the Danish robotics company.
Universal Robots was founded in 2005 and manufactures so-called collaborative robots. Universal Robots's products are small, user-friendly robot arms that can be programmed in a few minutes and that can be placed side by side with production staff and help streamline and optimise manufacturing processes.
Today, the company employs 150 people, has several subsidiaries and offices in, among other places, the United States, Singapore and China. The company is headquartered in Odense, Denmark.
Teradyne, which is based in the United States, manufactures automatic test equipment for, among other things, wireless technologies and data storage.
Bech-Bruun has advised Teradyne throughout the entire process.
