Bech-Bruun advises Schur Flexibles Group on its acquisition of Danapak Flexibles from Arla Foods
Bech-Bruun’s Austrian client Schur Flexibles Group has acquired Danapak Flexibles A/S from Arla Foods Amba. The acquisition was completed last week after having been approved by the German competition authorities.
Founded in 1955 by the Danish Dairy Board, Danapak Flexibles has become a specialist in high-barrier packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, dairy as well as other food industries.
The Austrian packaging company Schur Flexibles Group with headquarters in Baden near Vienna was established two years ago by the private equity company Capiton and Jakob A. Mosser, an industry expert, by means of a "buy and build" concept. Including Danapak, the Group consists of twelve active companies in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Greece and Slovakia. With more than 1,300 employees and customers in over 60 countries, the company generates an annual flexibles revenue of approximately EUR 320 million, including the acquisition of Danapak Flexibles.
