Niam, one of the leading Swedish private equity businesses focusing on real estate, has just made its first investment in Denmark having acquired a residential property portfolio at a price of approx. DKK 1.3bn. The portfolio comprises commonhold flats attractively located directly at the waterfront of the new residential areas of Copenhagen's South Port as well as in Vallensbæk and Søborg. The flats were erected in the period 2007-2009 and are of a high quality customised for the owner-occupied housing market. However, today all flats are tenanted. In relation to this transaction, Bech-Bruun has primarily assisted Niam in setting up the acquisition structure.
