We train the DPOs of the future
In the spring of 2016 we launched an intensive and ambitious DPO training programme designed to prepare public authorities and enterprises for the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Demand has been extensive, and the programme has proven ground-breaking for its time. As a result, Bech-Bruun is proud to continue its training of future DPOs in 2017, so that all public authorities and enterprises may be equipped to comply with the statutory requirements of the new GDPR.
Bech-Bruun's experienced data protection specialists provide customised and intensive training that prepares future DPOs for the responsibility of working across their organisations, interacting with all business areas and units. This requires strong communication skills and in-depth insight into data protection law as well as information security.
Our lecturers and specialists maintain a high level and are engaged in the attendees, their different backgrounds and challenges. Below statements from attendees confirm that we do not compromise on the quality of our training programme, and our most important benchmark is the benefits reaped by the attendees.
- "EXTREMELY useful programme at a high professional level."
- "The training programme was good and constructive – it has eased my path into the role of DPO."
- "Good and proficient lecturers throughout the programme."
Seeing that DPO is a job title that will soon emerge in Danish enterprises and many more qualified DPOs will be needed, we continue to urge public authorities and various private enterprises to enrol possible DPO candidates in our training programme.
Lars Japp Haslund says to djøfbladet.dk that 75,000 DPO positions will emerge in Europe. He also points out that many enterprises and authorities will be surprised at the extent of the task awaiting them.
As first of May 2017, 129 candidates have completed Bech-Bruun's DPO training programme.
