Bech-Bruun strengthens its position as the leading legal compliance adviser
On 1 September 2017, Egil Husum joined Corporate Compliance & Investigations (CCI) as senior associate, and Mikkel Chislett will join the practice group as senior associate on 1 November 2017.
For several years, Egil Husum has advised public and private organisations on data protection and administrative law. He was a former employee of, among others, the Danish Immigration Service and the Ministry of the Interior and, for the past 12 years, he has worked in the legal profession.
Mikkel Chislett joins Bech-Bruun from a position as Senior Audit Specialist with a large Danish undertaking, in which he was, among other things, responsible for ensuring that the undertaking observed the compliance programmes implemented. For many years, he was also employed in the financial sector and with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.
"We often witness how many undertakings lack an overview of their existing business procedures and compliance levels and request assistance with risk analyses, the preparation and implementation of compliance programmes and support once the damage is done. And the need for assistance is on a steady increase. Both Mikkel and Egil have unique knowledge of compliance from important sources. Mikkel has in-depth knowledge of compliance in some of the leading undertakings in Denmark and the financial sector, whereas Egil has profound insight into public law and authorities," says Thomas Munk Rasmussen, partner and head of CCI.
The practice group, Corporate Compliance & Investigations (CCI) was established in 2015 with the primary objective of assisting businesses in minimising the risk of non-compliance. CCI offers our clients a one-stop-shop approach to compliance, internal investigations, criminal law issues, measures to prevent money laundering, personal data and offers a wide range of compliance tools, including risk analyses, preparation and implementation of compliance programmes as well as training of employees and executive officers.
