New partner specialising in market law
Bech-Bruun will be even stronger in the areas of market law and IPR strategies when Dan Bjerg Geary on 1 September joins Bech-Bruun’s group of partners.
On 1 September 2016, Dan Bjerg Geary will become partner in Bech-Bruun and will with his considerable expertise in the areas of patent law, trademark law and marketing law as well as drafting and implementation of IPR strategies contribute to strengthening the advice provided by Bech-Bruun in these areas.
Dan Bjerg Geary has for a number of years represented Danish and non-Danish businesses, among other things, in connection with licence agreements and other IP agreements. He has considerable experience with commercial contracts, especially franchise systems, in Denmark and abroad and furthermore boasts extensive experience with enforcement in infringement proceedings, including injunction and preservation of evidence proceedings.
“We are currently experiencing considerable development in the areas of market law and IPR. Digitalisation offers new market opportunities and technologies, but also a number of challenges, which many businesses need to factor in. Dan has unique insight into this area and his expertise in the areas of patent law, marketing law and not least IPR strategy is a great asset to Bech-Bruun,” says managing partner, Simon Evers Kalsmose-Hjelmborg.
Dan Bjerg Geary has also taught market law at Aarhus University and courses on, among other things, IPR issues.
