Two new partners welcomed
On 1 January 2016, Bech-Bruun will be expanding its group of partners with Søren Kamp Nørbæk and Kaspar Bastian.
When we welcome our two new partners, Søren Kamp Nørbæk and Kaspar Bastian on 1 January, we are not only fortifying our efforts in the areas of M&A, corporate law and tax procedure, but we are also adding two strong profiles in these areas of expertise to the partner group.
Søren Kamp Nørbæk joined Bech-Bruun in 2009 and specialises in the setting up and transfer of undertakings, corporate law, shareholders’ agreements and disputes among shareholders as well as various commercial contracts. In addition, Søren works with court and arbitration proceedings relating in particular to shareholder disputes and disputes arising in connection with business transfers.
Kaspar Bastian joined Bech-Bruun in 2011 and specialises in tax procedure. Kaspar conducts and has conducted a considerable number of cases on taxes and duties before the courts, the National Tax Tribunal, the Tax Council and the administrative tax authorities. In addition, Kaspar advises and represents clients in cases regarding, among other things, transfer pricing and international tax matters.
“We are seeing a good level of activity in the M&A area and the demand for advisory services in the tax area has been on the up over the past couple of years. Therefore, I am very pleased to be able to welcome two new partners,” says Simon Evers Kalsmose-Hjelmborg, Bech-Bruun’s Managing Partner.
In addition to his work as a lawyer and now also partner, Søren Kamp Nørbæk has for several years taught classes in finance law and various corporate law issues. In addition to the above, Kaspar Bastian is a member of the board of the Danish Tax Lawyers’ Association and the author of a number of articles and publications on tax law aspects as well as a book on tax procedure issues.
