New partner in Bech-Bruun
By welcoming Claus Berg as new partner, Bech-Bruun adds significant strength within construction law, litigation and procurement law.
Claus Berg is an experienced expert within construction law, litigation and procurement law and will join Bech-Bruun as partner. Claus is particularly experienced in planning and conducting tender procedures for construction work, rendering consultancy services to employers, technical advisers and contractors and has deep knowledge of commercial and public contracts.
"Both private and public building and construction works are seriously on the rise. We also experience, however, that building and construction projects result in construction law disputes. Bech-Bruun is therefore experiencing increasing demand for advice on construction law, litigation and procurement law. Therefore, I am pleased that, by welcoming Claus Berg, we will now have yet another dynamic person on our team – one of Denmark's leading experts within his field of expertise having highly recognised litigation skills and many years of experience in advising on construction and procurement law disputes", says Simon Evers Kalsmose-Hjelmborg, Managing Partner of Bech-Bruun.
Claus Berg holds an LL.M degree from the University of Copenhagen (1983) and has, in his career as a lawyer, developed great skills in conducting legal and arbitration proceedings before the High Courts and the Supreme Court as well as before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Court. Claus is a highly experienced litigator and has represented claimants in several cases before the Complaints Board for Public Procurement and has acted as arbitrator.
Claus Berg has obtained recognition by the international rating agencies Chambers Europe as well as The Legal 500. Furthermore, Claus Berg is an experienced lecturer, for example teaching at the University of Copenhagen.
Claus Berg will join Bech-Bruun on 1 January 2015.
