Bech-Bruun broadcasts The World’s Best News
Bech-Bruun once again supports the campaign "The World’s Best News" aiming to inform the Danish population about specific affirmative results of development aid and initiatives to fight global poverty.
The campaign is based on the UN’s 2015 Millennium Development Goals, which is a widely acknowledged benchmark for global development.
One of the 2015 Millennium Development Goals is to achieve universal primary education and, today, as many as 90 per cent of all children in developing countries go to school. Another 2015 Millennium Development Goal is to halve extreme poverty and hunger. Even though there is still a long way to go, The World’s Best News is happy to report that 1/3 of the African population is now middle class.
As a signatory of UN’s Global Compact, Bech-Bruun engages in initiatives to help achieve the UN 2015 Millennium Development Goals. We have opened two schools in Africa, aided the improvement of quality of education in 11 schools in Ethiopia, coached local entrepreneurs in Kenya and engaged in numerous pro bono partnerships. We wish to assist in spreading the good news that development efforts actually make a difference to local communities and populations.
