Bech-Bruun lawyers appointed Chinese arbitrators
The Xiamen Arbitration Commission of P.R.C has appointed Bech-Bruun partners Henrik Valdorf-Hansen and Carsten Pedersen as registered arbitrators. The Xiamen Arbitration Commission is located in Xiamen, in the southern part of China. It has established a high reputation by its professional and efficient arbitration services and has become an arbitration center recognized, not only in Xiamen and other provinces in China, but also in other jurisdictions.
It has engaged 406 arbitrators from China and abroad. Henrik Valdorf-Hansen and Carsten Pedersen are the first European arbitrators registered in Xiamen Arbitration Commission.
The appointment of Henrik Valdorf-Hansen and Carsten Pedersen mean that they will be able to act as arbitrators when disputes are settled in China. The appointments further reflect the growing cooperation between Chinese and Danish business partners, bridging the gap between China and Europe.
On 21 June 2012 the appointments were also addressed by the Danish newspaper Børsen.
