Bech-Bruun new stakeholder in Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster
On 1 January 2013, Bech-Bruun will become a stakeholder in Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster.
Bech-Bruun will become a stakeholder in Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster on 1 January 2013, being the first and only law firm to do so. In connection with Bech-Bruun’s stakeholdership, Bech-Bruun partner Jens Chr. Hesse Rasmussen will join Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster’s board of directors.
Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster’s vision is to be one of the world’s leading and most renowned cleantech clusters with the participation of Danish and international companies, research institutions, as well as private and public organisations.
“Bech-Bruun has provided advice to companies, investors and organisations within the cleantech and energy sector for many years”, says Randi Bach Poulsen, Bech-Bruun’s managing partner. “Becoming a stakeholder in Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster is part of our strategy to increase our focus on this industry sector. By combining our expert skills, we are able to create even better opportunities for collaborating with players within the cleantech industry, including established as well as new cleantech businesses, investors, educational and research institutions, as well as public authorities”.
The cleantech sector is experiencing growth due to an intensified focus on the sustainable use of resources within all areas. The area is complex and industry players require advisors with in-depth knowledge of the legal and business related challenges which the sector is facing.
Randi Bach Poulsen notes, moreover: “Bech-Bruun is highly specialised within the various legal disciplines of relevance to this sector. We have extensive experience with, among other things, the establishment and financing of sustainable energy plants, venture investments and joint venture agreements”.
