Bech-Bruun Nordic market leader within M&A
A new M&A league table places Bech-Bruun at the very top of Nordic market based on number of transactions.
The international rating agency mergermarket has just published its league table covering the Nordic M&A market for the first to third quarters 2012.
Bech-Bruun is the law firm with the highest ranking within M&A in the Nordic region measured on number of transactions and is the law firm with the highest ranking in Denmark measured on transaction value.
The ranking is based on 48 major transactions at a total value of EUR 7,452 million.
"We are proud of our position in mergermarkets’ league table, which confirms that our specialisation within this area has been successful", says Randi Bach Poulsen, managing partner.
The premier ranking is, among other things, due to Bech-Bruun’s advice in connection with Energinet.dk’s acquisition of ten regional transmission companies in Denmark for DKK 5,7 billion, the sale of NKT Flexibles to National Oilwell Varco for DKK 3,8 billion and the sale of PAI Partner’s 25.6% shareholding in Chr. Hansen Holding to Novo A/S for DKK 4,1 billion.
Seen from a European perspective, Bech-Bruun is rated number 17 measured on number of transactions, primarily surpassed by large international law firms with offices in many different countries. The major progress compared with last year’s position as number 83 in Europe is testament to a Danish and Nordic market on an upward trend.
