Bech-Bruun launches Chinese Desk
In recognition of the business opportunities arising from the fast growing economies in the East, Bech-Bruun has implemented a deliberate China strategy.
In this connection, Bech-Bruun has appointed Rachel Cao, a competent and accomplished Chinese lawyer, with substantial experience in advising foreign clients on the challenges involved in setting up in China, as Head of Chinese Desk.
“It is our experience that Danish clients, which have become established in China or consider doing so, require advice on Chinese matters. For example, it can prove difficult to identify competent professional advisers in China. Bech-Bruun can assist clients in this regard”, says Søren Meisling
, partner at Bech-Bruun.
Rachel Cao’s expertise will also prove invaluable to Chinese investors setting up in Denmark, for which it is crucial that the Danish law firm which they engage can provide advice with the assistance of a Chinese lawyer.
In addition to Rachel Cao and Søren Meisling, Bech-Bruun’s Chinese Desk will be manned by partners Monica Reib, Anders Oreby Hansen
and Claus Barrett Christiansen
and senior associates Anne Kaas Hammer and Peter Riis Jensen.
Bech-Bruun’s China strategy is part of our overall Asia strategy, of which advising on Vietnamese matters plays a substantial role. Our advice in this regard is based on the experience of our Danish lawyers who have worked in Vietnam over a longer period.
