Bech-Bruun launches report on corporate social responsibility
On 25 June 2010, Bech-Bruun’s first report on corporate social responsibility was published.
Bech-Bruun has had a strong focus on health, education and the environment for many years. Now, for the first time, we have gathered these initiatives and outcomes in a report which describes our work and efforts within corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The report also constitutes part of our commitment to the international CSR network, the UN Global Compact, which we joined last year. With our membership, we have committed to preparing a report every year describing our initiatives, advances and challenges within human and labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption.
In the report, we have directed special focus on what we call the 'right to well-being', which comprises health and job satisfaction. Similarly, we have directed attention to the 'right to education'. We firmly believe that the right to education is fundamental to all – our employees, our clients and our fellow citizens in and outside of Denmark.
Our report also provides a description of Bech-Bruun's initiatives, objectives and achievements with respect to the environment as well as our wide range of pro bono activities.
At Bech-Bruun, we consider our CSR commitment as work in progress. This year, our aim has been to obtain a structured overview of our long-standing work with CSR initiatives – and, not least, to communicate these initiatives to the world.
The report gives us the opportunity to set up new goals and visions. Therefore, for the purpose of promoting our future development, we welcome any constructive feedback and comments.
