Rule B of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Marine Claims, or Rute B, the well known extraordinary remedy in the American legal system that on an ex parte basis allows for attachment of assets in order to obtain security for maritime claims without regard to domicile or subject matter jurisdiction is now the latest victim of the financial crisis as well as its own success.
