The modernisation of the public sector's organisation is an international megatrend. An increased focus on public private companies and partnerships can be attributed to the growing political recognition, that the private sector should play a role in ensuring the performance of public sector tasks and that there should be more effective collaboration between these two sectors. Public companies require complex legal advice, in particular, as their legal position is not prescribed in law and there is uncertainty as regards crucial legal issues concerning them.
