Energy

Challenges and requirements
The energy sector is experiencing change and is currently witness to a consolidation trend resulting from the purchase of, among others, local authority power grid companies, electric power transmission companies and natural gas thermal power plants, as well as mergers between local authority water companies. Likewise, there are concrete plans to liberalise the waste incineration sector, to expand the area in which district heating is supplied and to establish renewable energy plants.

How we can help
As a result of our long-standing advice to large Danish and international energy actors, both public and private, we have accumulated specialist competencies in the energy sector, in particular as regards energy transactions. We have substantial experience in establishing renewable energy plants and on/offshore windmill parks, as well as the water and waste water sector. As regards regulatory matters, we have significant experience of district heating, waste incineration and district cooling. Moreover, we have established a strong international network, which enables us to participate in cross-border energy transactions.

Our advice encompasses, among others:
• Electricity supply
• Heat supply
• Natural gas supply
• Water and waste water supply
• Renewable energy
• Waste incineration
• District cooling
• Transfer of energy companies
• Conduct of energy related lawsuits
• Energy tariffs
