Climate

Challenges and requirements

Attempts to resolve the current climate issues have resulted in complex national legislation and international agreements and an increasing focus by businesses and local authorities on climate strategies. Our clients require advice on the legal framework governing CO2 storage and the interaction between the various climate regulations, the trading of CO2 quotas, as well as the feasibility of local authorities implementing climate initiatives. In addition, advice is required concerning the setting up, operation and transfer of climate funds, companies and installations, as well as corporate responsibility and climate/environmental technologies.

How we can help

We advise on COstorage, the trading of COquotas and climate regulations, both in Denmark and internationally. Moreover, we have set up numerous climate funds and have substantial experience advising on standard agreements drafted by the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET), the International Trading Association (IETA) and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). We participate in Danish and international climate networks, among others, the Danish Wind Industry Association and the Danish Association for Energy Law.

Our advice encompasses, among others:
  • Legal framework governing climate
  • Climate projects
  • CO2 quotas and credits

  • Energy savings and energy efficiency
  • COstorage
