How can we help?
We have extensive experience in advising businesses and public authorities on environmental issues, such as international environmental law, nature protection, marine environment, soil contamination, waste water, waste, and planning law. Moreover, our lawyers have specialist knowledge of livestock farming.

We have in-depth knowledge of public authority procedures and a large network of public authority case workers with whom we confer in complex matters.

We are members of several industry networks, such as the Confederation of Danish Industry's Environmental Committee and Forum for Environmental Managers. As a result, our understanding of environmental law matches the reality within which our clients operate.

Common challenges
Focus on environmental considerations is gaining ground, for example when planning projects in the construction and agricultural sectors, and EU Directives and national legislation regulating the area are increasingly introduced. Moreover, the assessment of potential projects is required to be more exhaustive and to take place earlier than in previous years. This results in a more extensive environmental approval process and the increased risk of case reversals and remissions before the Danish Nature and Environmental Board of Appeal.

The challenge lies in predicting the requirements which public authorities will make current and future activities with a potential impact on the environment subject to.
