Trademarks and Designs

Our expertise includes:

  • Pre-filing investigation
  • Watch services
  • Opposition and cancellation proceedings
  • Brand protection
  • National, international and EU registrations
  • IPR portfolio management
  • Licence agreements
  • Trademark infringement
  • Domain names.

How can we help?
We advise start-up companies as well as large conglomerates on establishing and protecting trademarks, domain names and designs. We also render advice on all legal aspects of IPR portfolio management.

The registration and protection of trademarks and intellectual property rights very often transcend national borders and consequently legal assistance must do the same. We have a large international network of specialised lawyers who assist us when required.

We also offer an online trademark and domain name surveillance programme, enabling immediate and effective legal action should anyone file for registration of potentially conflicting trademarks. If you would like to know more about the programme, please contact Claus Barrett Christiansen.

We litigate a large number of injunction proceedings, search order proceedings as well as infringement and validity proceedings in respect of trademarks and designs. In addition, we conduct several complaints cases before the Danish Complaints Board for Domain Names and international complaints boards.

Common challenges
Today, R&D, knowledge and strong brands are pivotal to growth and competitiveness. As a result, businesses increasingly need to protect their products and to effectively put an end to infringements of intellectual property rights. This is clearly evident from the number of registered trademarks which has never been as high as today.
