Jes Anker Mikkelsen has a particular focus on maritime and insurance law disputes, particularly cargo losses, transportation insurance and P&I claims. He was part of a team which advised numerous claimants, including several large shipping companies and P&I clubs, on actions related to the bankruptcy of OW Bunker. Clients reference his "strength in litigation and broad range of knowledge" including "how to strategically position yourself in court cases." 

Carsten Pedersen receives praise from clients, with one saying: "He is very analytical and thorough, and he finds the most relevant issues, even in big cases." before adding that he is "superbly strategic and tactical." A specialist litigator within the insurance sector, Jes Anker Mikkelsen recently represented Noreco in a USD473 million dispute against a number of insurers.
