Anders Oreby Hansen is noted for his abilities in handling international investment and M&A matters, and is described by clients as "intelligent, systematic and responsive." Other sources value his "ability to think outside the box and come up with solutions."

Michael Serup has focused expertise in tax restructuring and reorganisation matters. He is noted for his experience in succession planning and corporate-related tax issues.

Tax litigation head Kaspar Bastian focuses on cases concerning duty issues and criminal tax investigations. He also covers transfer pricing, international tax and M&A planning matters.

Thomas Frøbert has broad experience, including in transfer pricing, M&A planning and international tax issues. He also handles VAT disputes and is a well-regarded figure in the market: "Everyone who knows him speaks highly of him and the work he does."

Banking and finance

Morten Krogsgaard specialises in securitisation and debt financing amongst a wide range of other banking and finance transactions. His recent work includes advising large Danish banks on a series of acquisition financings. One client states: "He is superbly intelligent, skilled and business-minded." Desks based abroad This firm's China desk is led from Copenhagen, with additional support provided by lawyers based in Aarhus. It frequently advises Chinese corporate clients on investments and acquisitions in Denmark. The team also works closely with the firm's representative office in Shanghai. Søren Meisling specialises in business transfers and M&A. He advises on domestic and multi-jurisdictional transactions in several sectors, including telecommunications, life sciences and financial institutions.

Jacob Hjortshøj's expertise covers M&A transactions, business transfers and private equity. He represented Solix Group in its DKK1.1 billion acquisition of Cembrit Holding. Dispute Resolution

Jes Anker Mikkelsen has a particular focus on maritime and insurance law disputes, particularly cargo losses, transportation insurance and P&I claims. He was part of a team which advised numerous claimants, including several large shipping companies and P&I clubs on actions related to the bankruptcy of OW Bunker. Clients reference his "strength in litigation and broad range of knowledge," including "how to strategically position yourself in court cases."

Carsten Pedersen receives praise from clients, with one saying: "He is very analytical and thorough, and he finds the most relevant issues, even in big cases," adding that he is "superbly strategic and tactical." He handles a range of disputes, including those involving construction contracts and directors' liability.

Claus Berg is highly regarded for his experience with construction disputes, professional liability and public tender issues. He is an active litigator and mediator, and recently assisted the Municipality of Copenhagen with construction and procurement law issues related to the development of schools and public buildings in Copenhagen.

Henrik Valdorf-Hansen has notable experience in commercial litigation and has represented clients in high-profile litigation in the Danish Supreme Court on numerous occasions. He recently advised TopDanmark on a liability insurance claim involving losses due to widespread fire on a national heritage property.

Intellectual property

Head of department Klaus Madsen has extensive experience in contentious pharmaceutical patent cases as well as in cases concerning IT and mechanical devices. He recently represented Krka in a patent case against Pfizer concerning the medicinal product Pregabalin.

Claus Barrett Christiansen is noted for his expertise in marketing and technology law and has represented clients in high-profile contentious cases relating to the interpretation of EU marketing law. He is also knowledgeable of EU trade mark and design regulations. 

Martin Dræbye Gantzhorn represents clients in conflicts relating to patents and utility models as well as assisting pharmaceutical and food sector clients with regulatory issues.

Christian Vinding Thomsen specialises in compliance and regulatory issues that apply to pharmaceutical and food products. He also assists with the transactional and commercial contracts related to IP rights.

Mikkel Friis Rossa enters the rankings this year on the back of strong market feedback. Clients describe him as "very commercial, straight to the point and solution-oriented." He advises on data protection compliance and has experience of handling large projects.
