Corporate Social Responsibility - Our approach

Environmental awareness and social responsibility are integrated in our business. While we aim to achieve good results for our clients and ourselves, we always strive to do so with due consideration for our surroundings.

Fundamental to our approach is our commitment to the UN Global Compact, the world’s most comprehensive corporate social responsibility initiative with ten basic principles focused on human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. Read our 2010 Global Compact report here.

The UN Global Compact is the backdrop to a series of Bech-Bruun initiatives:

• We have a strong focus on health and eduaction for our employees, our clients and our fellow citizens - both in and outside of Denmark.
• We work with the Danish Electricity Saving Trust to reduce our energy consumption
• We have built and now run a school projects in Angola and Ethiopia in cooperation with Save the Children
• We volunteer our professional expertise to NGOs and organisations, such as the Danish legal aid organisation Retshjælpen, WWF and Save the Children
• We provide legal advice on CSR and energy and climate law
