Managing Intellectual Property - IP Stars, 2016
Danish law firm Bech-Bruun has a very strong team of experts who deal with IP transactions and contentious IP matters. It also has a filing and prosecution practice headed up by IP Star Claus Barrett Christiansen, who is singled out for praise. According to one commentator, Christiansen possesses "all the virtues an IP litigator needs". "Claus is their best name for trade mark and copyright work," says another. "He's been top notch when I've litigated against him," one rival testifies.
For copyright, the team can call on Peer Petersen. Other partners who can support in soft IP work include IT specialist Arly Carlquist, Mikkel Friis Rossa, Thomas Munk Rasmussen and Niels Andersen.
One client says the team provides "high quality and timely" advice "at a reasonable cost". The firm represented Rockwool International before the Danish Supreme Court in a landmark dispute on comparative advertising. Other clients include Sony, MTG (TV3), Danish Football Association, Elvis Presley Enterprises and Fender.
